Pilimo (“Pilimo”, “we”, “us”) is a multiplayer social gaming platform for playing board games with friends online. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website (pilimo.com) and app (app.pilimo.com), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Pilimo you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — the handle you choose and, if you sign up with an email or phone number, that contact detail, so we can create and secure your account.
- Gameplay information — matches you play, moves, results and scores, so we can run games, matchmaking and your profile.
- Technical information — device and browser type, general location (approximate, from your IP or, for “nearby” matchmaking, a location you explicitly allow), and usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how Pilimo is used. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and improve the product. Analytics and advertising storage are managed through Google Consent Mode: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland these are denied by default until you make a choice in our consent banner.
Advertising
We may show ads in the Pilimo app to help keep the platform free. To do this we use Google AdSense and related Google advertising products.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Pilimo and/or other sites.

Where required, we ask for your consent before serving personalized ads through a Google-certified consent management platform, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in our footer.
How we use your information
- To provide, operate and secure the games, matchmaking and your account.
- To connect you with friends and nearby players when you ask us to.
- To measure and improve performance, and to prevent abuse and fraud.
- To show advertising, where applicable, and to comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (running the service), on the basis of your consent (analytics and personalized advertising), and for our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and improving Pilimo). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Pilimo (such as hosting and Google’s analytics and advertising services), and where required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at our contact page.
Children
Pilimo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards for the transfer.
